This autumn, NeuWave has found its way into multiple UK press features, each offering a different angle on who we are and where we’re going. These features reflect the values and ideas shaping NeuWave.
From startup recognition to conversations about Northern innovation, culture, and founder mindset; here’s a quick roundup of where we’ve been featured, and why these stories matter to us.
Real confidence offshore…
Unprecedented accuracy and cutting-edge technology. NeuWave’s high-resolution data solutions provide confidence where it matters most – when operating offshore.

Top Tech Startups to Watch in 2025 – Prolific North
We’ve followed Prolific North for a while, and we were honoured to be listed in their Top Tech Startups to Watch for 2025. The publication focuses on media, marketing, and tech news, as well as relevant industry trends.
The list was revealed on 14th October here in our hometown of Manchester, and was compiled through a mix of submissions, nominations, editorial research, and input from independent industry observers.
A couple of our founders went along to represent NeuWave on the presentation evening, with attendees coming together to celebrate, connect, and listen to success stories from industry breakouts.
Of the 14 businesses that made the list, we’re in truly great company. Cyber security, AI insurance fraud detection, accompanied by innovative STEM education via motorsports, pet tracking devices, and revolutionary agricultural tech.
Honestly, we recommend taking a look through the entire list for yourself. It’s an awesome showcase of what the North has to offer to UK innovation and tech (on a potentially global scale).
Business Desk Feature – Entrepreneur UK
Since we’re already here, let’s stay on the topic of Northern innovation for a little while longer.
A couple of months ago, our founder Jana was invited to talk with Entrepreneur UK for the “Life After London” feature. The point of the article is to explore what exactly is driving founders and startups out of London, and back up north.
London is a global city, the perceived epicentre of British culture, and a “glittering magnet” for investors and talent. Its role and position remains undisputed; but some founders (including our NeuWave team) are actively challenging this assumption.
Moving away from London isn’t shaped by scarcity or compromise, but by a strategic choice. The article notes that there’s a quiet diaspora taking place, and entrepreneurs outside of London are embracing the unique advantages of their location.
“Sure, a lot of investment is London-based, but it’s only a train ride away. Our customers are all over the British coastline.” — Jana Stella, 2025
In an increasingly decentralised industry, being in the capital isn’t essential for reaching customers, and comes with significantly higher overheads. London is inevitably expensive, and decentralisation is liberating.
But this decentralisation doesn’t happen in a vacuum. As Jana noted in the article, NeuWave (and other startups) have “benefited from local initiatives”. Manchester hosts a strong technical and financial ecosystem of its own, including funding, universities, and diverse cultural vibrancy.
We operate in a highly specialised sector requiring a niche skillset, and for NeuWave, decentralisation is a benefit. A lot of the specialty already lies outside of London, and being here means we can better tap into the necessary local technical networks (including Manchester, Liverpool, and Scotland).
It’s something we’re passionate about here at NeuWave. Success hinges on robust support, and that’s still not always widely accessible.
Upskilling and mindfulness in tech – UK Tech News
NeuWave founder, Jana, was also invited to speak with a reporter from UK Tech News for the ongoing Founder in 5 series. Readers get to know innovators and entrepreneurs in 5 quick questions (and answers) from the online tech publication.
Jana infuses a little of her personality into everything she does. And this article is no different, as she discusses positive team motivation tactics, and how to build a more natural schedule around how your body works.
Jana has practiced intentional mindfulness for most of her life, and confidently attributes much of her success to this approach.
According to her, this includes learning as much as possible from the people around you. And because of this, names co-founder Chris as a reliable and fundamental cog in the NeuWave machine.
Jana also wanted to talk about the role of upskilling in the interview, and why she sees this as an essential measure for the future of the UK’s tech industries and startup scene.

This season’s media coverage highlights the people and ideas driving NeuWave. They reflect our growth, commitment to Northern innovation, and the founding principles that shape our culture.
As we continue building environmental intelligence for offshore industries, we’re proud to contribute to the wider conversation about talent, technology, and the future of UK startups.
